ROCHEM RESCUES WATER FROM WASTE:
Rochem provides high end equipment and services
for treating industrial and process waste water
directly into reuse quality fresh water.
Quality starts at the design stage, with Rochem
accurately and specifically matching the customers'
treatment requirements. At Rochem, customer
service is given the prime importance that it
deserves.
ROCHEM VISION:
Rochem's
Vision is to be a primary source of key process
separation technologies and services for ships
at sea, refiners, chemical manufacturers and
other companies with difficult-to-handle petroleum/petrochemical
waste water streams. Rochem will endeavor to
combine innovative process engineering strategies
with synergistic technologies to provide customers
the most beneficial, cost-effective system options
for meeting their needs.
ROCHEM STORY:
Rochem was founded in 1982 in Germany, where
it first introduced Reverse Osmosis. Further
in 1986 Rochem embarked upon a research and
development program to produce the Disc Tube
(DT) Module Technology that received worldwide
patent coverage.
The
patented Disc Tube System with its high tolerance
against fouling, high recovery rate and high
rejection qualities has made Rochem a world
leader in the efficient treatment of industrial
effluent. Over the past two decades more than
8000 worldwide installations have been credited
to Rochem, this also includes one of Europe's
Largest Liquid Waste Processing RO sites.
In 1992 Rochem Separation Systems India Pvt.
Ltd. was registered to cater to the Indian Navy
and Coast Guard for Sea Water Desalination Systems
using Rochem's Disc Tube Technology. By 1999
Rochem India bagged the ISO 9001 Quality Certification.
At the beginning of 1998, PALL Corp. USA, one
of the largest suppliers of filtration equipment
in the world, acquired the right to market certain
ROCHEM products including its DT technology.
PALL established PALL ROCHEM WASSERTECHNIK,
headquartered in Hamburg, to promote and sell
RO systems worldwide.
By
2000 Rochem shifted its focus from mere wastewater
treatment to DIFFICULT wastewater treatment.
Rochem initially designed plants to serve the
needs of marine customers in the marine chemical
and maintenance field in all major ports worldwide.
Additionally, ROCHEM has expanded to include
numerous non-marine industrial projects. And
by 2001 ROCHEM India exploited the potential
of the DT-RO application in recovery of water
from wastewater to create the first Reverse
Osmosis System capable of efficiently treating
Wastewater of Industries such as Pharmaceutical
and Distillery, Electroplating , Tannery, etc.
Rochem has installed over 125 plants for offshore
SWRO over the last decade. Today ROCHEM is moving
rapidly to help industries achieve Zero Discharge
with its RO/Nano Filtration Applications.
